Return Day, as far as we can tell, started in 1812 - which would make it 210 years old in 2022. Since we only celebrate every two years after the election, this marks the 105th Return Day.

After voting, the public would "return" to the County Seat of Georgetown to hear the "returns" of the election, read by the Town Crier from the balcony of the County Courthouse.
