The organization behind two centuries of tradition.
Who we are
Sussex County Return Day, Inc. — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — organizes Return Day: Delaware's biennial celebration of unity after the election, held in Georgetown since about 1812 and called by the Delaware Public Archives "the only event of its kind in the nation."
The committee plans the parade, the ceremonies on The Circle, the ox roast, the vendors and the program book, and coordinates with the Town of Georgetown, Sussex County and the State of Delaware.
